Concept & Premise
For nearly 80 years, Dr. Apples has been searching for his mother, who was taken by fairies and replaced with a doll. Every year on his birthday, he receives another doll, infused with a fragment of her essence—a cruel gift from the beings who stole her away.
Now, with 75 dolls and a major clue in hand, he’s closer than ever to finding her. But time is running out. As his magic weakens and old enemies resurface, Dr. Apples must confront the truth:

Lacie
A psychic assistant who’s trying (and failing) to keep her life together. Sarcastic, powerful, and Dr. Apples’ only real tether to humanity. Will probably kill him one day.
Mr. Steiner
A British-accented, walking, talking piggy bank. Secretly the smartest one in the group. His dream? To taste bacon. (No one has the heart to tell him.)
